State employee salaries available online in searchable database

Using PennWatch and information from the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts, the (Harrisburg) Patriot-News has created a searchable database that allows readers to locate compensation information for state employees who earned more than $100,000 in 2012.
The database allows readers to search by department, by first or last name, and by position.
Search results include total compensation for the year 2012, which includes salary, overtime, payments for unused leave, and other sources of compensation paid to public employees.
